Embark on a hike on any of TILT'S Ten Signature Preserves to help us record as many species as possible! Biodiversity is key to a healthy ecosystem and learning how to identify, record, and report species can provide useful data for science and conservation. Using iNaturalist, hikers will photograph plants, insects, birds, mammals, reptiles, and more all week long.

Take your tech outside and learn to utilize your smartphone as a tool for nature. This family-friendly Bioblitz is a great way to explore and learn about the diverse and beautiful natural world in the 1000 Islands. This event is unique to our Treks offerings because it is completely independent and up to you. Visit our preserves and record the plants, insects, and animals you see. How many different species can you find in a week?

TILT advises participants to download both the iNaturalist and Seek app in advance of the Trek (free on the app store!) TILT will host a Virtual iNaturalist & Seek Training to help you familiarize yourself with these apps on Monday, June 7th from 6-7 pm. A recording will also be available on Youtube if you cannot attend.

Let us know you’re participating by emailing [email protected], by calling the TILT office at 315-686-5345, or by signing up here.
