Annual Birkhead Lecture: "Fish Tales"

Tuesday, August 23, 2016 - 5:30pm

Zenda Farms Preserve

Last year area residents and visitors alike shared their best 1000 Islands story with us during our annual Guthrie and Louise Birkhead Lecture & Reception at Zenda Farms Preserve.

TILT continues the storytelling tradition with an invitation to come share your favorite “fish tale.” Additional speakers will include a representative from DEC to discuss conservation and fishing, a local fishing guides interpretation of the cultural and traditional elements of fishing in the 1000 Islands, along with a presentation of the exciting research happening on Governors Island with TIBS Professor John Farrell.

The TILTalks lecture series have been made possible by the generosity of Guthrie and Louise Birkhead and are free to the public. So that we have enough chairs, please register in advance for the lecture and reception here, by emailing [email protected], or by calling the TILT office at 315-686-5345.
