Summer Land Stewards Hired

Joey Morris (left)
I am a Paul Smiths College senior, finishing my degree in Natural Resource Management and Policy, with a minor in Geospatial Information Systems. I live in Watertown, NY, and have worked for the Land Trust for the past two summers. My goal is to join the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation in the law enforcement field as an environmental conservation officer.

I am a 20 year old in my third year at SUNY Plattsburgh, studying Environmental Science. Growing up on the St. Lawrence has really been the foundation for my love and appreciation for the environment. I look forward to working as a Summer Land Steward, making it easier for others to be able to access and enjoy the River and the region surrounding it.

I was born and raised in the Thousand Islands area, and graduated from La Fargeville Central School. I am currently attending Nazareth College studying Environmental Science and Sustainability, with an Ecology and Natural Resources track. I am thankful for this opportunity, and am looking forward to working with the Thousand Islands Land Trust this summer to keep the Thousand Islands beautiful.
