Eddy Road: A Restoration Success Story

The Eddy Road property, nestled in Theresa, NY, is a wonderful example for wetland restoration in the Thousand Islands region. Spanning 145-acres, this land  supports wildlife and improves water quality. TILT, in partnership with Ducks Unlimited (DU), has ambitious plans to restore and manage the property’s wetland ecosystems, ensuring they reach their full ecological potential.

The recently completed restoration efforts will include hydrological enhancements and native plantings designed to create thriving habitats for migratory birds, pollinators, and waterfowl The restored wetlands will also serve as natural filters, improving water quality in the Indian River watershed and benefitting communities downstream.

The vision for Eddy Road is clear: a transformed landscape where wildlife flourishes and the power of conservation is visible firsthand. This ongoing project highlights both organization’s commitment to not only protecting land but also investing in its future, setting the stage for a healthier, more connected ecosystem.
