Treks & Camp
TILTreks, KidsTreks and TILTKids Day Camp are free and open to the public. These exciting programs get you out on the land to experience the natural world in the Thousand Islands.
TILTreks include birding, hiking, kayaking, and history outings, as well as Stewardship Days and other volunteer events.
KidsTreks feature great kid-oriented activities like "Ichthyologist for a Day" when we visit Thousand Islands Biological Station on Governor's Island and learn what it is like to be a real fish scientist. You can even catch a fish!
TILTKids Day Camp is a special themed program with several activities aimed at exploring the theme more completely. Camps have included Invasive Inspectors, Let's Migrate, and Nature Rocks!
The Warbler Walk with avid birder and Master Naturalist Dan Miller is perfect for adults wanting to enjoy a quiet morning hike where you will learn to identify species by sight and sound. Meet at the trailhead at 7:30am and enjoy this early morning hike will featuring the Golden-wing Warbler habitat area with the goal of sighting numerous warblers and logging our findings.
Join TILT at the Otter Creek Preserve for a “De-Stress in Nature” workshop - a walking meditation session to bring yourself mindfully into the present moment with instructor BJ Mosher.
