INTERNSHIPS

Education and Outreach Intern

The Education and Outreach Intern assists staff with updating all social media outlets and creating and managing the editorial calendar; assists with outreach through TILTrek programs and summer events; and provides office support. The Education and Outreach Intern has the opportunity to learn about the workings of a land trust, become familiar with local ecology, and gain experience in marketing, design, and program coordination.

The Education and Outreach Intern of the Thousand Islands Land Trust (TILT) is an hourly, seasonal paid position that reports to the Education and Outreach Coordinator.

Summer Land Steward 

Summer Land Stewards assist staff with conservation easement management; help steward and manage all TILT-owned Preserves and trails; assist with outreach through TILTreks programs and summer events; and provide office support. Summer staff has the opportunity to learn about the workings of a land trust, become familiar with local ecology, and gain experience in land stewardship and management techniques.

The Summer Land Steward of the Thousand Islands Land Trust (TILT) is an hourly, seasonal paid position that reports to the Stewardship Director.

Kenneth Deedy Environmental Intern

The Kenneth Deedy Environmental Intern assists the Thousand Islands Land Trust (TILT), Save The River (STR) and the Minna Anthony Common Nature Center (MACNC) trustees and staff to better serve their missions. This Steward will spends 3 weeks respectively at each organization immersing themselves in the 1000 Islands region and what it is to be an environmental steward.  The intern will become familiar with local ecology, advocacy and gain experience in land stewardship and management techniques.

The Kenneth Deedy Environmental Intern of the Thousand Islands Land Trust (TILT) is an hourly, seasonal paid position that reports to the Director of Development and Communications. This internship is managed by and funded through TILT. High school or college students are encouraged to apply.
