Land Manager

The Land Manager assists TILT’s stewardship staff in the overall management and maintenance of TILT’s preserves and trails. During summer months, TILT expands its property management and habitat restoration on wildlife preserves, conservation easements, and recreational facilities and trails. The Land Manager plays a critical role in advancing this work while helping to keep TILT’s preserves and trails safe and open to the public. 

The Land Manager of the Thousand Islands Land Trust is a seasonal, hourly paid position that reports to TILT’s Stewardship Director. The Land Manager’s seasonal employment begins mid-May and ends Mid-October.

INTERNSHIPS

Education and Outreach Intern

The Education and Outreach Intern assists staff with updating all social media outlets and creating and managing the editorial calendar; assists with outreach through TILTrek programs and summer events; and provides office support. The Education and Outreach Intern has the opportunity to learn about the workings of a land trust, become familiar with local ecology, and gain experience in marketing, design, and program coordination.

The Education and Outreach Intern of the Thousand Islands Land Trust (TILT) is an hourly, seasonal paid position that reports to the Education and Outreach Coordinator.

Summer Land Steward 

Summer Land Stewards assist staff with conservation easement management; help steward and manage all TILT-owned Preserves and trails; assist with outreach through TILTreks programs and summer events; and provide office support. Summer staff has the opportunity to learn about the workings of a land trust, become familiar with local ecology, and gain experience in land stewardship and management techniques.

The Summer Land Steward of the Thousand Islands Land Trust (TILT) is an hourly, seasonal paid position that reports to the Stewardship Director.
