TILTKids Day Camp: Invasive Inspectors

Thursday, August 9, 2018 - 10:00am to 1:00pm

Grindstone Island

TILTKIDS CAMP IS NOW FULL. PLEASE SIGN UP ON OUR WAITING LIST AS WE FREQUENTLY HAVE CANCELLATIONS.

For TILT’s 6th annual Camp, TILTKids will look at “Good Vs. Bad” bugs, plants and aquatic critters - learning who is invasive and who is not.

Participants will go on a discovery hike lead by Steve and Vici Diehl, bug esperts extrordinare. You will find dragonflies, damselflies and more. TILT Stewardship Staff will help you learn about invasive plant species and Save The River will be joining us on the island to talk about invasive critters that live in the water and why they should go back to where they belong.

TILTKids Camp is free for TILT members. Non-members are welcome for a fee of $35 per child. (TILT Family Membership is $40.)

We will meet at the TILT office for transportation to Grindstone Island. Lunch will be provided.

TILTKids Camp participants must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear clothing and footwear appropriate for outdoor play. Space is limited, so sign up early by emailing [email protected], calling the TILT office at 315-686-5345, or by signing up here.
